BOWLING PARTY CUPCAKES!!
My dad is really encouraging with my cupcake aspirations. He surprised me with really nice business cards for Christmas and he even convinced his boss to hire me to make cupcakes for her sons bowling birthday party.
This picture isn’t so great, but it’s been a long day and I’m tired….work all day, bake 50 cupcakes, go to web design class, frost 50 cupcakes 3 different colors…I’m beat. So here is a crappy picture of some really cute looking cupcakes..oh, chocolate and vanilla with vanilla buttercream
9/11 CUPCAKES!!!
My office asked me to bake 70 cupcakes for the office i8n tribute to 9/11…well they planned to put up a little tribute table and have the cupcakes there. I’m not really sure what cupcakes have to do with 9/11 but whatever, I was excited to do it!
So I spent yesterday and today baking and icing cupcakes, with a little fun in between. So here’s the result. 70 cupcakes, half chocolate half vanilla. I think the vanilla are a smidge overbaked, but the chocolate are on point. I had a bad frosting mishap by trying to make a big batch of frosting instead of two regular sized batches, but after a trip for more butter and try number two everything went swimmingly!
So here they are…70 cupcakes, baked, frosted, flagged and boxed!
BIRTHDAY CUPCAKES!!!
Two birthdays in the office this week…I bet no one will want these cupcakes tomorrow, but they sure are tasty!
White cake with a touch of almond topped with classic vanilla butter-cream sprinkled with Sweeeeeeeeedish Pearl Sugar!
I’ve had this pearl sugar in the pantry for awhile waiting to use it. I had to decide between classic party sprinkles or the pearl sugar. I sprinkled one cupcake with one and another with the other and looked at them for a good five minutes trying to make up my mind. I think I made the right choice.
I used Martha Stewart’s white cupcake recipe…that prissy bitch knows her shit!
The birthday girl prefers classic butter-cream, so I made it but tinted it red (came out pink in pics, pretty either way). Butter-cream is tasty and easy to make, but it may be a bit sweet for my tastes.
This weekend another birthday; my favorite little sister! So keep tuned for my first try and German Chocolate!
VANILLA BEAN CUPCAKES
My sister is in town and has not yet had any of my cupcakes. She requested white cake with vanilla frosting.
I made white chocolate cake and she was enjoying the batter before I got them in the oven!
I used the vanilla bean paste and whipped up some yummy frosting to top them off.
Not too bad…
